Find follow-ups and add them to Reminders

Platforms: iPhone, iPad and Mac; All Access required

A task is easier to follow through on when it is somewhere you will look for it. Action Items brings together the tasks the app finds in your recordings, and you can add an item to Apple Reminders.

This feature requires Perspective Intelligence All Access.

Review the tasks

  1. Open a session and choose Action Items to review that recording's tasks.
  2. To see items from multiple recordings, return to Sessions and choose Action items.
  3. Select an item to open the recording it came from and check the context.

No Action Items means there are no extracted tasks to show. It does not prove that nobody agreed to do anything. Check the transcript if you expected a follow-up.

Mark an item done

In the Action Items list, use the item's Done action. With VoiceOver, choose Mark done from its actions. To reverse that choice, use Not done or the VoiceOver action Mark not done.

Add an item to Apple Reminders

  1. In the Action Items list, reveal the item's Remind action. With VoiceOver, choose Add to Reminders.
  2. Allow Reminders access if the system asks.
  3. Check for In Reminders beside the item.
  4. Open Apple Reminders to review the saved task and add any date or other details you need.

If the app says it does not have permission, enable its Reminders access in your device's system settings. If it says no Reminders list is available, check that you have a list in Apple Reminders.

Adding an item is a way to send a task to Reminders. Do not assume that changes or completion states will stay synchronized in both directions.
